Nice hotel but rather isolated

Location: The sea view rooms have a wonderful view of Gozo and Comino but also the ferry terminal and main road.
Nothing else around except for the ferry terminal and a very small beach. No shops or supermarket anywhere near so hotel has the monopoly. Even so, the food and service was good

Good size room. Horrible food

Good size room and relatively well furnished. Horrible food, breakfast options limited, although quality really bad. No real meet, just some mixed cheap cuts pretending to be a ham. Scrambled egg didn't taste too good and had a weird consistency. Cheese tasted really cheap and was very soft. Veggie options limited to iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber. It looked like there was an attempt to create an English breakfast, but it was missing mushrooms, bacon (available only on one day) and cooked tomato. Sausages tasted like paper and fat. The only plus: they had a Gluten-free bread and unfroze it once asked. On last day we had an unwelcome visitor: a cockroach, but it didn't seem that due to dirt, as the room was clean. It probably came from outside the bathroom (backyard with lots of pipes).

Great location for Comino/Gozo trips...

Pros: Location for ferries / Paradise beach
Cons: The charges for items in the one gift shop/convenience store they had. You've got no choice to pay the prices as there are no other alternatives.
Location: Comino Island - Blue Lagoon. Gozo Island - The Blue window is worth taking photos of otherwise don't spend too much time there.
At first it looked like a concrete block in the middle of nowhere but when the sun came out the next day, and we could fully appreciate where paradise beach was, and how we could get to it, things got a lot better. The best thing is the location in terms of it's proximity to the ferries that go to Comino and Gozo. The Blue Lagoon around Comino is a must for a day out - amazing water to swim in, although the snorkelling wasn't as good as I'd hoped. We went for B&B for 3 nights and thought the buffet breakfasts were of a reasonable standard. We went in October and it was surprising how busy it was, which I guess is a good indication of the standard. The rooms were ok - clean, bright and as far as I could see all with sea view balconies. Perhaps a little pokey if I was being super critical. The staff smiled and seemed helpful. The one gripe I'd have is that they charge 2.60 euros for a bottle of water, when you can get it for 1 euro anywhere else, even Valetta. That just seems like exploitation to me, so my advice is if you're staying somewhere on the island before coming (highly recommend Valetta or Sliema)- stock up on water and snacks. Buses on the Island fantastic and you can get to other parts of island for the day, but as this is a bit further north I'd recommend putting this hotel on the tail end of your holiday.

Good family holiday

Overall v good, we had a few hiccups but these were dealt with before we left, we all enjoyed the pools, even on very busy days it never felt crowded. We would go back again, this time though we would not bother with hiring a car, the bus service is very good and very reasonable and the car we hired just sat in the car park for most of the holiday.

We liked the opportunity to swim in the sea. Also the big pools were nice. The views to sea (either harbor or bay) was nice. A car is useful as the location is away from towns. Hotel's parking area was useful.

Very mixed feelings. Good points: Large room with nice view; very clean pools; there are four of them. Bad points: Awful breakfast buffet: cold tomatoes, cold potatoes, cold easy-side up eggs, cold toast, and queue for coffee. Forget about the beach, it is very small and with plenty of seaweed. A shop where you can buy a one-liter bottle of water for €2.50, in a hotel where the water is non drinkable. Be aware, sea-view rooms are with view on a busy road and the ferry harbor. Therefore, be sure you have a room with so called bay view and on the third or fourth floor.
