Pleasant one night stay but hotel a little tired and rooms relatively small. Some idiot playing music in their room after midnight didn’t help.

Beautiful peaceful setting. Decent sized room, good shower. Plenty of areas in the hotel to sit and relax with lovely views. Friendly and welcoming staff. Main courses at dinner were a little disappointing but breakfast was lovely! We had a very pleasant overnight stay and thought the hotel was very good value for money.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Not sure if we had an upgrade or if the room was just even better than we had expected. Food was delicious, husband raved about the game casserole. Would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our stay, but it was a pity on my wife’s birthday that she had to send back her main course in the Tweed Restaurant. To be fair the hotel did deduct it from our bill, but nevertheless it did have a negative impact as the dinner was intended to be the highlight of our stay.

Secluded, quiet location, close to Dryburgh Abbey remains within a picturesque wooded loop of the River Tweed. Friendly, comfortable, and well run hotel.

Lovely stay

Had a great overnight stay at the hotel. Extremely welcoming staff polite and professional who helped with taxis to and from Kelso Races. Dinner and breakfast excellent.
