This is a unique Art Nouveau hotel in the centre of Moscow and is worth the stay for this alone. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect location across the street from the Bolshoi and a stone’s throw from Red Square and the Kremlin. It’s also on the metro and multiple bus lines. If you’re feeling lazy, there is always a taxi waiting outside. We had a lovely stay in Room 3333 which has a good view, is quiet and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The rooms are very clean and turndown service is an old fashioned and welcome touch. You absolutely need to include breakfast with your room as it is in the most gorgeous Art Nouveau ballroom with a harpist and silver service. We had breakfast all 5 mornings and never got tired of the wide array of choices that include a salmon and caviar blini station, free flowing sparkling wine and lovely local fresh jams, honey, cream and breads as well as the usual five star breakfast buffet items. I highly recommend a stay in this gem of an historic hotel in the heart of Moscow!
