Nice Hotel-Brilliant Location

Pros: Location, Price and Staff.
Cons: More english TV channels. Complimentary breakfast.
Location: Very Central.
Have stayed before some years ago so knew what a great location for reaching all the city attractions. Clean rooms, caring staff and good price completed a lovely stay. We will be back.

Good hotel in a lovely city

I really enjoyed my stay at the Golden Leaf park hotel during my recent trip to the wonderful city of Munich! The room was spotless and everything felt really modern and well designed. We arrived earlier than the specified check in time so expected to be able to drop off bags only but the staff were able to get us a room within ten minutes which was really helpful. The location was pretty good, with Marienplatz only a 10/15 minute walk away and the beautiful Hofgarten about 5 minutes although there wasn't anything immediately by the hotel and it was on a very quiet road (good for getting a few hours of decent quiet sleep!). My only slight complaint was that the staff did not point out that in the corner of the reception (tucked out of sight) there was free tea/coffee making facilities as well as pastries and biscuits. We found this by accident when leaving the hotel! Had we known about it earlier it might have helped with the slight hangovers we both had after a bit too much Glühwein and beir the night before. Also free wi-fi was unavailable in the room and didn't work in the reception either which was annoying but we didn't ask staff about this so possibly something could have been done! Overall though the Golden Leaf park hotel exceeded my expectations and was a great hotel not far from the heart of Munich and I would certainly recommend and stay again!

munich weekend

This hotel is well located for getting into the city centre - 10 minutes by tram and is in easy walking distance of the English Garden one of Munich's most famous parks. There are numerous eating and drinking establishments nearby that offer great value for money. We choose room only as the breakfasts on offer locally are cheaper and better. Great for a weekend break.

Great hotel

Position, staff friendliness, quiet position, easily walkable, nice lounge. Everything about this hotel is just right and makes an enjoyable place to stay.

Lovely five day getaway

Hotel and room was clean and suited our needs. The staff were fantastic and helpful. The hotel was a little off the beaten track but well within walking distance of the town centre.

Good for a short city break

Clean hotel with extremely comfortable beds and an excellent night's sleep. Close to the city centre and with a supermarket and bakery just around the corner if you don't want to pay for a rather expensive buffet breakfast in the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby area had a constant supply of fresh coffee and tea, and there were sofas where you could sit and use the free wifi (that is only in the lobby - you have to pay more if you want to access it in your room, although if you are on the lower floors you might be able to get signal like we did!). One small complaint is that it often took about 5-10 mins for cold water to come through the taps, - presumably because the plumbing was not well insulated - which made it difficult when you wanted to have a quick drink in the middle of the night! Other than that though , an excellent place to stay and great value for money.
