Great hotel - would definitely book again.

Great location - central for all of Manhattan. Hotel was clean, staff very helpful, and the bar very relaxing. We didn't use the fitness facilities, so can't comment. Just one wee suggestion - what about a kettle and some tea/coffee in rooms? Love a cuppa before going to sleep.

Gooid location

Good location , we had a family room which was very big for New York . Beds weee very comfortable , we enjoyed our stay.

Well positioned and gave good access to Midtown attractions with subway links to the rest of New York. I would recommend to book and pay in advance as then not affected by the every moving exchange rate.

Great hotel. Near everything

Had a great stay at Park Central. Hotel is right by Crntral Park and is only a few minutes walk from Times Square. Rooms were lovely and even though IT was one room for four of us. It actually seemed like 2 rooms with the layout. Beds really comfortable, rooms spotted and decor fab. Would recommend

Excellent location

Great location, good price but be aware of the down sides to this hotel. It's a 10 min stroll to Times Sq and right opposite Carnegie Hall so there are a lot of coach parties and hoards of people coming and going at the same time, this means it can get super busy at certain times. The elevators are shocking - small, slow and you can wait ages, if a coach party is arriving or leaving then 20 to 30 mins is not unusual, fine if you can take the stair but no joke if you're trying to get luggage through 7 floors. The room was OK for us but there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room - the first time I've ever encountered this in any hotel. The the lighting in the room was awful - the huge walk in closet is very hard to use as firstly it had only 3 hangers and secondly it was so dark you couldn't see to use it! However, on the positive side, we arrived very late get into bed but we had a noisy and broken aircon unit - fan was stuck on full and no temp adjustment, the next morning we reported it and it was fixed by the time we got back the next day. The location is great and the price was hard to beat so despite the shortcomings, I would recommend it.

Lovely rooms, poor facilities

New York hotels are often miles from anywhere, with tiny rooms barely bigger than the bed. So, it was marvellous to see that the Park Central is brilliantly located opposite the Carnegie Hall, five mins from Central Park and two mins from the subway. The rooms are huge, big beds and big tv, great bathroom. Where it falls down is the lack of amenities for its customer base - it has a shop to buy coffee and snacks, which shuts at 9pm, it has a bar that opens at 5. There's no food provision, and they compensate for this by allowing the guests to do anything - so a lovely bar is spoiled by guests eating take away burgers and pizzas and drinking their own drinks. Very odd indeed. The building has loads of lifts - all bar a few have been blocked off and are out of use - it can take a while to get a lift down from the 10th floor or higher (try grabbing one going up and stay in it!). Another mention to Elizabeth from customer relations who was excellent dealing with the issues another of her colleagues had caused - I guess she's used to it! All in all - if you know what you're getting and how much (including the well publicised if you bother to look facility fee) - it's a great hotel and we'd use it again....

Great hotel in good location

Great hotel in a very good location We didnt have a good view but at reception that had offered an alternative but was smaller size bed. Staff all very friendly and helpful We had booked in Uk so we still had tax to pay and it was a bit more than expected. Saying that even with tax still worth money Only gripe would be that perhaps could do with an extra elevator as at times was busy
