Nice 3 star hotel near time square

Door staff - brilliant House keeping poor General manager Eric Foley concerned about poor comments and review please note service gets worse if you complain. Not really 5 star hotel or 5 star service. Don't tell anyone at the hotel of a special occasion they will research you in social media.

Wonderful Stylish Boutique Hotel in great Location

We were lucky enough to win a luxury city break holiday up to the value of £2500, and we chose this hotel. I'm glad we did! Firstly, it was in a fab central location. A 10 minute walk from Times Square, Macy's, and all those famous NY places. We were put up in the Atelier Suite, which was the best room in the house! The room was enormous. Great storage, stylish decor, and a seating area. There were 2 wide screen TVs (2!) One above the bed, and the other infront of the seating area. There was no bath, but a massive shower. An expensive mini-bar with great choice. No tea making facilities but they brought us a coffee machine on request. The super king size bed was amazing, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! I never had any issues with NYC city noise waking me up. The only thing I was a bit gutted about was the view. It says on the website that the view of NYC from the rooms is great. All we could see was a rooftop, fire escapes and other windows. However, the view from the rooftop bar is good (if not a bit obscured by high walls) The restaurant was noisy, but good, and the rooftop bar was super stylish. The staff were friendly and courteous at all times. I would heartily recommend and happily go back some day!

Excellent shopping trip with friends

Have stayed at many hotels in New York, including the Waldorf, New York palace and Viceroy. So you can tell the hotel is of great importance to our annual stay. This hotel exceeded all expectations as to comfort, friendliness and outstanding service. The restaurant is lovely, modern diner type and breakfast was great. Reception staff were also excellent. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, and certainly stay here again. Great location as well.

st patricks day holiday

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The restaurant and bars provided great hospitality, choice and luxury. The hotel staff and doormen could not be any more friendly and helpful. Will definatley be staying at the Refinery on our next trip. Rooftop bar is the best in New York.

Hidden gem

Great location, very close to subway links, Macy's, Empire State Building and Times Square. On arrival requested a quiet rom and were offered an inner courtyard room, or 12tn floor with ESB view which we opted for. Rooms have some quirky decor, very well appointed and comfortable. And what a view we had! Hotel is very popular with the young cocktail set who frequent the trendy rooftop bar for expensive concoctions. This is often closed for private functions too. Despite the hustle and bustle of the bar, doesn't impact the rooms below noise wise. I would definitely return, and recommend to others. Staff very helpful and friendly in the whole.

Great shopping and sightseeing break.

Stayed at the refinery for three nights with my daughter and granddaughter celebrating my granddaughters 21st birthday. The hotel was lovely. Excellent cleanliness, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially on the concierge desk and the young lads welcoming us every time we entered the hotel. New York was awesome but the refinery made it a very special time for us. The rooftop bar was lovely and obviously very popular. If I go to visit New York again I would stay at the Refinery.
