A nice hotel with good staff - but my room had an awful old mattress, really worn out, and nothing could be done about it. The staff were kind and sympathetic, but dud not have newer or firmer mattresses to offer. I had three nights of miserably poor and painful sleep as a consequence.

Easy access for disability scooter. Friendly staff. Arrived a quarter of an hour before end of breakfast and told a ten that food was now being taken away before we had really finished. Staff then when a chose their own breakfast and sat down to eat. We should have arrived earlier , but think there could have been a bit of flexibility.

discovered booking did not include breakfast - poor and misleading ebookers experience, not the fault of the hotel rooms (had two) were not clean socks under a bed, lacked detailed cleaning

Modern hotel close to Jesmond

All the staff we encountered were very friendly & helpful and are an asset to the hotel. Checkin was very quick. The receptionists even sorted a room out for our son when there had been a mix up through a 3rd party booking company. Our room was quite large with a very comfortable superking size bed & there was a choice of pillows., the bed linen was lovely & crisp. We had full size good quality bath towels. Food in the bar was very tasty and there were some good offers on the menu. There was a good selection of breakfast items, breakfast was served in Fratello's. There were just a couple of little niggles that could have been better & that would have been that instructions could have been provided on how to operate the air conditioning as the room was extremely warm, the other was that the room could have been slightly cleaner as there were a few cobwebs on the ceiling & walls. That said, I would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel close to Newcastle City Centre

Pros: Location, cleanliness and staff attentiveness
Cons: Nothing
Location: Newcastle city centre a £5 taxi ride away
A lovely stay at this hotel. Check in experience was smooth, room a good size and very clean. Staff helpful and polite. Only £5 for a taxi to Newcastle city centre.

Good location

Excellent staff who were friendly and helpful. Hotel met our short stay needs exactly. Ease of car parking was a great benefit.

Great place to stay!

A great hotel with complimentary parking which is rare in tho age. Rooms are comfortable and clean. WiFi, iron, tea/coffee. The staff are superb! Friendly and helpful....you can't ask for any more. We'll be back soon.
