Alarm clock in room went off at 3.20am ( I didn't set this ). Milk cartons in room had been tampered with ( e.g. were empty, but left in a way as to look full ). Room was noisy - a lot of noise from the bathroom next door.

The hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishment, it would have been nice to have been warned on booking. Staff all pleasant and helpfull.i stayed in a finished room which has neen done to a good std, will dtay again

Excellent value for money

Pros: Excellent value for money, friendly staff, peacefully tucked away.
Cons: Décor, facilities are dated
Location: Norwich centre 10 minutes walk or 4 minute taxi ride away, loads to do there.
Stayed for one night in Oct 2016. Pleasant hotel tucked away, we stayed in one of the cottage rooms detached from the main hotel which was peaceful and perfectly adequate for our needs with a very comfy bed, nice shower. The hotel in general is quite dated but warm and welcoming. The breakfast was nice, good quality ingredients but a little over priced in my opinion but overall, a very comfortable stay and for the price we paid a real result compared to other hotels in the area. If you're looking for value for money I doubt you'll find much better in the area.

Comfortable room however a bit small

Pros: Location
Cons: hot water supply
Location: Nearly to Unthank Arms where we were attending a function
Very good location for getting into city. Our room was quite a treck from reception. Adequate facilities in room, however lacked hot water for shower. Staff very pleasing and obliging especially house keeping manager who went the extra mile with help. Room was a bit tired.
