Full of character and history

Pros: Very comfortable and very attentive and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: I was kept awake for a while by light streaming under a large gap between the door and the floor. On the other hand it is a few hundred years old!
Location: Located opposite the cathedral and close to the town square where the Ripon Hornblower performs at 9.00pm every evening - well worth attending.
Attending a family function in the hotel, so it was very convenient. It also meant we could take our dog and he seemed to enjoy his visit including the gardens. A bit on the expensive side but it was a special occasion.

Ideal location for me

Wonderful to be so close to the Cathedral and a very short walk to the Market Square. Very comfortable hotel, very friendly helpful staff. Pity they don't serve food every evening.

Great staff but poor hotel condition

Rooms need complete renovation. Carpets dirty, bathrooms old and poor, sloping floor in attic and ceiling low so hit head.
