Not for a quiet nights sleep.

Far too close to Local Disco that carries on to about 4am. The noise if you are at the front is disconcerting and young people returning to the hotel rooms are noisy and boisterous. A bad nights sleep on both nights. The lifts and hotel rooms card entry system was a nightmare as they failed on many an occasion. Many guests complained about this during my stay. Bob Macdonald MK

Uncomfortable and run down

Lobby area has had a big refurb and looks nice. Rooms are dated and damp. Beds do not have proper mattresses on them - they have foam pads. Sheets were stained. No bin apart from tiny in in bathroom. Furniture looked like it had been taken from my grandmas house in the 60's and not in a vintage trendy way!!! Overall disappointing.

OK

Centrally located but take your ear plugs as it's on the main route for ambulances and police cars... It's OK for a night or two, clean and exactly what you'd expect from a hotel like this, but don't expect anything other than a very basic experience. Breakfast is a bit understocked and ran out of brown bread on my stay (at 7.45!). The reception team failed their training course at the Soviet Union Charm School. Even for a January evening, this was the frostiest welcome in a hotel I've had in a long time.

Good central location

Pros: Central location was good, close to all the city centre amenities, restaurants pubs, station etc
Cons: The hotel is on the whole a bit tired and worn out in general - not horrible but certainly hasn't been decorated in a while. No ironing board in the room - you have to do your ironing (should you have any) in the corridor.
Location: All of the centre of Northampton on your doorstep lots of nice pubs nearby.
