The booking through Ebookers hadn’t gone through, even though I had official confirmation, and I didn’t get the room I’d booked and had to seriously compromise with no other preferable options available. I cancelled my guest as it was too much of a disappointment. I will now only contact the hotels direct. It’s not worth the risk for the sake of a negligible saving.

First impression poor as receptionist (Paul) choose to concentrate on IT issue with colleague & left me standing. Eventually an acknowledgement & told 2pm checkin. No further help suggestions etc. Returned later and Anji while checking me in gave limited info (as a later return heard a whole spiel given to another guest) no mention of pass codes and use through doors. Room was considerable distance from reception. Stopped at bar but no staff present. A genuine 10 min wait before got a member of staff and they went to get someone. Had also used house phone and 2 unanswered calls. Got to room which was a walk. Pleasant enough but could clearly see two insects on wall turned out to be moths. Opened and part drunk complimentary bottle of water left as if new to use. Pool use was more positive and helpful staff.Enjoyed. Restaurant wasn’t described nor mentioned at checkin although did have a look at menu. A so so selection but choose not to use and walked into town. Perhaps fortunate as breakfast next morning (Friday) was poorly serviced with limited hot selection (well in fact luke warm). A sit out in court yard with morning coffee about summoned up visit when I noticed finger nails on ground discarded by a previous visitor. So a sweep and tidy needed. Wasn’t impressed by hotel , acid test as ever , would I go back - no. I’m sure some will think it’s great but my impression is staff seem to have expectation it will fill itself as nice setting. However effort needed

They advertise a beautiful Gorgian Building, when its actually an annex you stay like a post house. they over charged for dinner and the shower was cold in the morning... not one to go back to...

Good hotel, booked for the leisure facilities. Pool was very cold ( water and general environment pool side/ changing rooms) went a month ago and they had warmed water up due to complaints. Been put back down again.

£5k worth of tools stolen and no help from hotel!

Cons: Staff attitude
Location: Quiet location, away from the centre of nottingham
We stayed here for an event and my colleagues van was broken in to, the contents was £5k worth of tools. Although not the hotels fault, the hotel have not helped to identify the thief and have not issued us with any CCTV. There is a barrier as you go in to the hotel - this car park is NOT secure. Whilst I understand items are left at own risk, you don't expect this from a hotel that is quite set back from the road and where you have to drive through a barrier to enter the car park. It's a real shame as it has tainted my experience at this hotel and due to the hotels reaction (or very little reaction) I will not be returning again.

Anonymous hotel just average

Big hotel. Rooms up dated. Long corredors. Just a lift . Old part just for conferences. Bedrooms, reception and restaurant in a modern anonymous part and more over very up dated. Towels with stains. One bed did not have the douvet cover. The laid out very difficult to follow. Rooms 200 and above spread out in 2 different levels. Very confousing. friendly staff and good breakfast. We stayed because dogs are allowed. Nice gardens. 12 miles from the centre.
