- Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
First, we have stayed here before. Many years ago so I shouldn’t expect. But the location was great etc. We check in... the carpet is filthy, ok. There’s a puddle on the floor between the sinks and toilet room yet no obvious leak. Ok. There’s hair on the bathroom floor and the tub. Ok. HOWEVER, the door to the room had obviously been kicked it. There was space around the door where air could come in so it wasn’t properly aligned. The security hotel lock was hanging from a screw and in no way usable or effective. We asked for a new room. My husband went to ask he said he got slight attitude from the manager... until he showed pictures. We were willing to lose money if they did not offer a new room. We switched rooms. The next room was cleaner. The security lock was intact. There was still gapping around the door. But the cover to the electronic key reader was missing. I was left wondering if that would allow for an easy break in. We stayed and left as soon as possible. My kids wanted to eat breakfast there because it was a buffet and they like options. I should have said no. Even for $8 I knew it wasn’t going to be good but it was down right gross. The bottom of the biscuits were wet. Like soggy. The eggs tasted like how gasoline smells. I’ve learned my lesson. Stay at Mystic Dunes!!
