About the Orleans House Gallery

Built in the early 18th century close to the Thames at Twickenham, England for noted diplomat and politician James Johnston, the Orleans House fell into disuse and much of the building was demolished in 1926. What remains of the property were preserved and are now known as the Orleans House Gallery. This gallery features art which relates to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and some local areas of London. The Orleans House Gallery opened in 1972.
