Hotel is split into two sections. We stayed in the old section, which I can only describe as the Pontins block. Felt old and tired and not 4*. Interestingly the rooms had been refurbed, they were clean etc, however the public area needs attention fast.

Lovely stay, very helpful staff. I would like to mention Natasha from the call centre, who was very helpful and saved our day as we managed to leave one of our luggage behind, with my partner’s work laptop in it. She was able to find it and keep it safe for us until we got back to the hotel to pick it up. Forever grateful, thank you very much!

Staff were excellent - friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Facilities were exactly what you’d expect. Place was spotless and organised considering how busy the hotel was. Great atmosphere throughout our stay. I would upgrade for a small fee to the exec rooms - makes a difference! Rooms are spacious and comfy

On arrival receptionist telling us that we would have to pay £6 a day for parking and then when we questioned it she gave us a waiver for our stay like she was doing us a favour!

Rooms are a long way from Reception. Check in is as they say only from 3pm so if you get there early have a plan for a few hours

Location, rooms and service are very good. Restaurant food leaves to be desired. Also Costa coffee available at bar, is reduced to minimum offer available
