After traveling from London to York and than Edinburgh, we ended in Oxford for a 2 night stay to end our family vacation in the U.K. The hotel was easy enough to find and, as advertised, parking was first-come / first server. The parking quarters are very - VERY - tight. You may want to consider parking at the P&R down the road and Uber al walk in if you drive anything of size over a mid-size sedan. We were driving a van (9 seats) and unfortunately had some damage upon exiting.
The rooms themselves are OK. The layout is interesting and perhaps a bit confusing, as it's basically two joined terraced houses. Be ready to climb the narrow stairs with full suitcases, but luckily we were only two flights up. The rooms themselves were cozy (=small) but clean and comfortable. The showers were good and clean, again somewhat cramped but the location (10 minutes from the center) made up for that. The bed however is not from these days. We had a doubles room, but the bed was hardly large enough for two. Again - it made for two cozy nights. The road in front is busy with, surprisingly, a lot of emergency traffic (FD, PD) so if you are sensitive to sound perhaps ask for a room at the back.
The service and breakfast were good.
Recommended for a casual stay near the center, but don't expect any frills.
