It's a case of get what you pay for, probably. Not all that cheap, except by Oxford standards. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a bit past its best and clean-ish. Somebody had drawn an emoji on the mirror which appeared when it misted up to show it had not been wiped down, and there was some litter on the side of the bath. The walls were quite dirty in places, and there were holes around the light fittings. Bed linen was all clean and fresh though, and beds comfortable. Everything worked.

It is a convenient stop off when travelling. Located on a service station it has plenty of choice for food and drink and was surprisingly quiet.
