Weekend break

Had a good but expensive time in France. Hotel is ok but would expect more as they had no Soap in the room and not enough towels for 6 people in a room of 6 beds. Breakfas was included in the our payment yet you still have to pay for things like eggs and English breakfast as you only get toast, butter and some other basic stuff.

Very close to Disney and very clean

We loved the hotel but I didn't like the breakfast because there isn't many choices to eat eg. They were serving frying eggs but we had to pay for it. The juices were very warm.

easy access to Disney

Nice and easy access to Disney land specially with the free shuttle service. We hired a car but didn't need it at all as the shuttle was so handy. The hotel and rooms itself is quite different from normal other hotels. Specifically the rooms very basic but didn't bother us as we had a good time. Suits only for families with kids.

Fab family hotel

We had a brilliant few days at the Explorer, the hotel is extremely child friendly with plenty to keep them entertained when your not in the Disney parks. The pool area is fab & the play areas are too. Room was basic but clean & our 10 year old loved the bunkbed. Breakfast is ok if you like toast & cereal! Pizzas are served in the bar area until quite late which came in handy after we stopped in the park to watch the fireworks. We never waited more than 10 minutes for the shuttle bus. Would definitely recommend the Explorer for a fun family break at Disneyland.

Great Disney Trip

The Explorers hotel is a great base for Disney, comfortable if a little basic, generally clean but a cost effective alternative to the Disney Hotels.Coach transfers to the parks can be frantic at peak times but generally efficient. To compare this hotel to the Disney hotels would not be fair but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative this might be the one for you. Kids loved the swimming pool and great pizzas on site.

Good family hotel

We stayed here over Christmas and we loved the pool, the soft play area and the grounds. The room was clean but got very hot at night. The complimentary bus got very crowded and on 2 occasions we couldn't get on. We also had a problem with the food too. The breakfast was adequate, we ordered a pizza on the last night it was burnt on the edges and raw in the middle. The fries were also cold.

Great hotel!

After much deliberation I decided to book this hotel instead of one on the disney park mainly to keep costs down. I was neither disappointed or let down by this choice. I would go as far to say that this hotel was far better than an actually disney park hotel, great play areas for the kids and swimming pool with slides went down a treat with my 2, that are 7&13 yrs. breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The rooms were basic but spacious and beds were comfy. Would definitely recommend and go again! :)

A wonderful experience

A really great hotel for children, plenty to entertain and amuse them. My son said it was really made with children in mind and he is 11. Loved the pool and waterslides. The meal deal in the hotel was very reasonable, and the food was of a good standard, although I would not say it would suit all tastes a good effort is made. The breakfast selection was excellent and I could not fault it. The staff were all lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. I felt very comfortable in the hotel and really did think that it was very child oriented. Very well done, fun even down to the pirate map on the carpet in our room. Pay per view was a great idea. The hotel was very central to everything and serviced by a free bus service that ran regularly and was a short distance from the Disney Village and the Parks. I also used the Magical Shuttle which actually stops at this hotel for return journeys to Charles de Gaulle airport so that was a real bonus for me no lugging cases about. All in all I would recommend and I would most definitely return to this particular hotel again. Merci beaucoup pour une vacance manifique a tous a la hotel Explorer.

Love this hotel

We stayed at explorers for 1 night prior to moving on to a Disney hotel for the rest of our holiday. We've stayed at other partner hotels but this was definitely the best. Room was very comfortable, we had a double bed and bunk beds, my son liked the light he had in the bottom bunk. The facilities were fantastic, we used the soft play and the pool. Both well maintained and clean. We used the pool around 7pm when others were still in the Disney parks and we had the pool completely to ourselves which was brilliant. The only thing letting the hotel down for us was the breakfast. Not a lot of choice, bread rolls hard and no fresh fruit. Breakfast room had only a few in there when we went in so could have been that they weren't expecting many for breakfast. All in all a great, value for money hotel which we'll definitely use again.

Basic accommodation, fun pool, extra charges.

The rooms were quite basic, but as expected. The breakfast was adequately described earlier, plenty of continental style food available, but breakfast times were like feeding troughs during a busy week. We had american style swim trunks for our first visit to the pool, these are stunningly prohibited by french law so we were all forced to buy over-priced european style mini-trunks before entering the pool. We were then told that the towels supplied in our rooms were not allowed in the pool area but we could rent towels at 2 euro each for the session. The pool was fun but the water could have been a small bit warmer. Upon returning to our room we discovered that any non-news channels in english cost 5 euro per day, and movies in the room were 11 euros each. It truly spoiled the holiday to feel like we were being nickel-and-dimed for every single thing in the hotel. The shuttles to Disney/Marne-La-Vallee were frequent, reliable and oh sooo packed. The heaters in the rooms were on a timed program so to heck with what you wanted as an occupant, although I'm sure for an extra 5 euros a day you could probably have control over that too.
