Comfortable hotel

The hotel is near Republique. It has nice touches (nespresso at reception free, wifi is also free). Clean room and comfortable bed. Good value for money.

Good value for money

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Location was OK , checking in was quick but I did find the gentleman on the desk a bit rude. The room was extremely small but had everything you need .The bed was comfortable . Overall I had a pleasant stay

Cannot review Magenta 38 Hotel

Our stay in Paris was wonderful, except when we arrived at Magenta 38 Hotel we were transferred to their sister hotel, was not happy, as no one got in contact to inform us, after travelling all day and arriving at hotel to be informed of change was not what we were expecting, and added another hour on to our travelling time, although they did cover cost of transfer. Would hate to think what would have happened if they did not have a sister hotel???

Clean, modern and friendly

Wonderful hotel with very helpful staff. Great location, just 10-15 minutes from Gare de Nord, so great if you arrive on the Eurostar. You can also catch a direct train to CDG airport. Room was spotless, bed comfortable and bathroom clean and modern. Like the free tea and coffee at reception. Metro very near, supermarket across the road and a number of affordable eateries in touching distance. This hotel represents great value for money and I can't imagine you would find much better in this price bracket

Really nice place !

Nice clean modern Hotel , lovely rooms ,they even have turbo fan heaters ,coolers in the wardrobe should you need one . Breakfast extremely good and the hotel reception so polite and helpful ! Nice exterior facade . Boulevard Magenta is a good location as well . The owner,s of this hotel should be very proud as they have obviously put a lot of effort into making this hotel a real gem !

Just short of excellent.

Magenta 38 offered us a room with a skyline view and you could even see the 3rd floor of the Eiffel Tower (viewed in person). Sadly because the room wasn't yet ready I asked to be moved to an identical room, still with a skyline view. Our 3 bed family room was large. Lots of room in the double, (2 singles pushed together but sheets that seal them together so much so you couldnt feel the join. The cot was easily converted to a chair. Plus lots of storage. Close to the Eurostar -Gare du nord and a 3 minute walk to Republic both stations give short metro rides to all the major attractions, we even went to Chatteau Versailles. Bathroom and toilet spotless with good hair dyer. Shower was not a power shower but I never had problems with the hot or cold water. The hotel has 24 hour front desk, English speaking staff who are very helpful and a the hotel has a breakfast area, and large reception area with waiting space, chill-out area and even offered to look after our bags after checkout so we could still tour before getting the Eurostar back home.

Nice room but bad service

The Room was basic but clean and cosy. It was noisy though. I could hear the next door very clearly. The Problem was, the phone didn't work, so I had to dress up to go to the reception to ask some coffee at night when I found that the cleaner didn't top up my coffee. I told the receptionist about the problem but nobody checked or tried to fix my phone and no coffee ever appeared again in my room during my 4 nights stay. Also my hairdryer didn't work either, so I had to sleep with my long hair wet that night because I was really too tired to get dressed and go to the reception at late night after shower. The most disappointed thing was, I told a receptionist about the problems above when I checked out, he was not sorry at all, he said "we have a coffee machine and a hair dryer at reception". It's like I paid for staying at the reception instead of a room. It is a good location I think, convenient with a few metro lines, but there are so so many hotels around there, I will not stay in this hotel next time.

weekend break

The hotel for a three star met all my expectations and more. staff were not only friendly and pleasant but also very informative as to the local amenities. the only complaint, (and i'm not sure if it was because i had showered late) was the hot water was tepid at 11am and did not warm up during the 20 minute shower. but i would definitely stay again, and intend too in summer.
