Exquisite, timeless, hotel

Pros: Style and substance
Cons: re-route the Metro? Of course rooms could be bigger, but this is 5* style at 4* prices, so something has to give.
Location: A proper, non-touristy but very central part of Paris, but easy to walk to many top attractions and a choice of two Metro stops 3 or 4 minutes away
Opened in 2016 within a period building, decorated to a very high standard and beautifully done. When old buildings are given a 'boutique' makeover into hotels it is easy to decorate them nicely and install some fancy looking bathrooms, but miss out all the hidden and more expensive stuff, like sound-proofing rooms, installing all new triple-glazed windows, and ensuring the fabric of the building is as good as the decor. Here they appear to have done both, with everything working really well on our visit, from the sound-proofing that shuts out the street almost completely, great showers with good pressure, almost silent air-conditioning and super-comfortable beds. Yes, there is a rumble from the Metro that runs somewhere beneath the building and that might be a deal-breaker for some, but this hotel has so much going for it that event that would not stop me from booking again - in fact I have, for next year.

We are located in the center of Paris and close to 2 metro stations, so depending on your sensitivity you can feel the vibrations of the metro in any building. However, all our rooms have triple gazed windows, which prevent any other noise to disturb your sleep. We are very happy to know that you appreciated the location of the hotel in Latin Quarter, close to Notre Dame and many great Parisian sites. Schönes, ruhiges und für Pariser Verhältnisse sehr grosszügiges Zimmer mit hübschem Badezimmer. Sehr nettes Personal und leckeres Frühstück. Sehr empfehlenswertes Boutique Hotel.
