Friendly and Welcoming

The staff at this hotel were excellent and made me feel that nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside for me was that after a very late arrival, there was no facility for a bar snack. The breakfast was lovely and fresh. Others have mentioned that the Hotel is located in a very run down area in Pau and this was a pity as I felt unable to leave the Hotel in the evening to enjoy a restaurant meal as I was quite nervous of being a lone woman walking around the area at night.

Good value for money

I must remember when booking hotels in Europe that a four star rating is about equivalent to a three star in the UK. This hotel was clean and the staff were both helpful and friendly. There is no hotel restaurant but you are only 10 minutes walk from a whole bunch of superb restaurants near the castle. For a budget stop over this hotel is fine.
