Nice big old hotel, well placed a few minutes off motorway. Good quality breakfasts. Stayed there twice within two weeks, the second time was much better than the first. Nicer service, better room with brighter lights and softer bed. My main concern was that ebookers specified free breakfast on their booking page, but this was suspiciously missing from the confirmation email. I should have noticed this but I didn’t, and was charged for breakfast at the hotel - an extra £8 per morning. The only reason I booked the Green over the nearby Travelodge was that I would be able to continue my journey with a good meal included in the price - which the hotel refused to honour.

We enjoyed our stay at The Green hotel, however it is ‘tired’ and in need of updating. We were fascinated by memorabilia in the Backstage bar!

We enjoyed our stay at the Green hotel. However, it is a little tired and needs updating. Very good value, clean, light and spacious. Fascinated by memorabilia in the Back Stage!!

Pros: The comfort and big breakfast.
Cons: greater wattage of lightbulbs.
Location: Concerts backstage at the Green Hotel, and Golf Club nearby.
The bed was comfortable, and although the lights were dim, i could see enough to watch television,although it looked out to the woods and back of the health club.

Relaxing getaway

Pros: Courtyard layout and lounge areas very pleasant.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit cold
A relaxing getaway for a couple of days. Huge room and hotel has plenty of lounges for peace and quiet. Just what we wanted.

Comfortable and relaxing stay

This is a comfortable hotel with plenty of lovely seating areas in which to relax. The staff were very very pleasant and helpful . The breakfast room is very attractive and the food plentiful and varied (Only downside was that our bathroom could have been better as it was in need of a facelift. Perhaps that is in the future plans though. ) We would stay there again as it is such a nice atmosphere.
