Dear Fahad I am not sure if a 1 star is justified, especially as you love the location and our team members. I am sad to learn that you have chosen a hotel which is not relaxing as you have expected. We have explicit named our hotel URBAN HOTEL. Urban means it's location is based in the middle of the down town of the Capitol City of Phnom Penh. Great eateries, bars and walking distance to all the tourist areas. I am sorry to learn that our teams have moved items loudly, this is not our standard We have immediately taken action and ensure that this will not happen anymore, Towels should be clean and fresh daily, we will double check with our external laundry company. It can happen that the water supply may be cut from the city due surrounding construction work. we apologize for this incident; which is out of our hands and has been rectified within 10 minutes of happening. I do hope that you still had some good times with us and I personally hope we can get your second chance to rectify and prove we can do better. Dear Mr Thorsten N. Firstly let me sincere apologize that we failed to meet your service standards and expectations. Thank you for your review. We understand that a young man like you who grew up in a very wealthy, well organised country has top, high expectations on his guest service. Which is fair enough and well understandable. Traveling in less educated and development countries do intend to have a different service standard as we are not able to push yet to the rich and well established European standards. As a Swiss born hotelier, living for many years in Asia, I do know and deeply understand your frustration, especially as a European traveler, a poor country my be a cultural shock and add to the misunderstanding. Luckily, your review doesn't reflect the majority of our guests staying with us. Wherever humans work, errors can happen. We have immediately changed your room and have apologized for this error. In general, our guests to compliment our breakfast with everything available which is international standard in Asia and of course those expectations are subjective. We do take care of our team training to ensure their young eyes do see their work goals as high standards as our guests from more developed countries expect it. I believe in your case, we failed to do so, which I greatly apologize. Of course it is your good right to slam a small family hotel on this platform with a 1* review to express your anger and disappointment that we did not deliver your expected, high international service and cleaning level. Your review is motivating our teams to ensure that we will keep training our teams to get better. Dear valuable guest We are sorry that our hotel with its facilities and guest service did not match with your price expectations. I personally always suggest to the travels to research their destination and location first, prior bookings to avoid disappointment. I would love to personally learn where we fall short in deliver Quality vs. Pricing. Thank you so much for your kind review and yes you are right, mostly Urban Hotels are based in the down town of a city therefore the noise level can be a bit disturbing, and on the other side, all the tourist attractions are reachable within walking distance plus many great restaurants and bar are just surrounding the area.
