Stretching along the southwest coast of Mallorca island, Magaluf Beach, or Platja de Magaluf to the locals, is a nonstop, 900-metre-long party zone. Walk the promenade and take in cafes and shops or make camp on the shoreline where the frothy, crystal-clear waters can tickle your toes. After a day of fun in the sun, come back after dark when Magaluf Beach’s 100-plus nightclubs explode in a celebration of sound and colours. Magaluf Beach is but one of many locations that you can visit on Majorca Island. Walk the island's streets and you may get swept up in a verbana, a street festival complete with fireworks and dancing. Make your way to the city of Palma to feast on architectural wonders, such as the Gothic cathedral and the Arab quarter, a labyrinthine of streets that hide museums and palaces. Public transport can drop you at virtually any spot on Majorca Island, especially if you bed down at Hotel Salvia or other hotels near Magaluf Beach.
It should come as no surprise that outdoor activities reign supreme on Magaluf Beach. Lather on the sunscreen and spend a day speeding down Hidropark’s huge variety of twisty, foamy slides. The park also features dry activities, such as bouncy castles and a 54-hole golf course. For a guided experience, sign up for Rock and Ride for your choice of mountain biking, climbing, and nature trails.
Enjoying the beach means an abundance of time outdoors and minimal indoor activities, typically. However that does not mean you should not enjoy the comforts within your hotel. Using Ebookers to select a hotel enables you to view your options at a glance. Choose a consumer-favorite option based on the amount of stars given to the resort. Since most holiday's also include exotic foods, and wiith so many lavish hotels near Magaluf Beach, you can sample the destination’s delicious delicacies without straying too far from your pool raft.
Guests staying at the Sol Beach House or Sol Trinidad can watch as chefs cook fish and meat before their eyes, and then follow the sandy paths down to the beach. Beat the sun out of bed and head over to Palm Beach Restaurant to indulge in fresh salads and baguettes right on the beach.
