We stayed for 2 nights here, which was really easy to get to from the airport on the local bus. The hotel was very busy but you could still manage to find some space, if you wanted it. There was a good choice of food and we were very close to shops and bars. Our only criticism is that we didn't have any hot water on the 2nd night when showering, which was frustrating.

Nice hotel good value for money

Location: Yards from the promenade shops and beach
Rooms are clean newly refurbished and spacious however there are no drawers. Food is of good quality but quite random nothing seems to go together and you have a fight on your hands to get past the big European male guests who think nothing of elbowing a woman. Very little atmosphere in the hotel bar/pool bar but not that important as the hotel is literally on the beach front we didn't stay in any night,lots of little bars and life on the promenade. If you arrive in the morning you will not get your room till 1pm we asked where we could change as we had 3 hours to wait and were told to get changed in the luggage storage room. Overall was a lovely break but neither because of this hotel or despite it

Lacks the finishing touches

Room is modern and crisp. Newly returbed. Had a room for 3. Only had two sets of towels and on the balcony 1 chair, no table. Our room overlooked bins. Not great at all! The pool area hasn't had the refurb the photos suggested. Easy to get a subbed so long as you are not going down any later than lunch time. Would have liked to have seen some more typically Spanish food on the menu. Lots of choice but hard to put a meal together. Staff were on the whole abit miserable. We were told check in was 1pm. Reception tried to tell us 2pm. Our room was ready st 1.30. We got told to get our pool stuff on in the luggage hold area! Not the best to be honest. Entertainment the one night we saw any was appalling ! Good location for a short break though

Overall a nice and good hotel and we enjoyed our stay a lot at Alua Leo. The stuff is friendly and there is a variety of food at the buffet. The food is ok and is slightly changing from day to day. Sometimes while grabing some dishes it could happen that they are not spotlessly clean but this is no problem because someone can rub them clean in no time. Also really interesting was the shower, expecting a fully transparent shower cabin while sharing the room not with your partner, you definitly would not to be missing out on something.
