    Hidden gem in Plymouth

The hotel is an independent made up of three substantial houses joined together with lovely halls and staircases a short walk from the Hoe. Highlights - everywhere SUPER clean (even the corners of the bathrooms), literally no damage to paintwork or wallpaper in my room, fresh fluffy towels - well done cleaning and maintenance. Suggestions - changing to showers rather than climbing into a narrow bath at next refit and offer lightweight duvets and/or upper sheets for customers who sleep hot, but overall very comfortable with friendly staff.

    4/5 Good

A nice building in a convenient location with friendly staff. However (possibly due to being an old building) very noisy! From my room I could hear loud voices from the bar area downstairs; perhaps closing the folding doors and adding some carpet might minimise the echoing noise? I was also disturbed by loud conversations in the stairwell and could hear conversations through the wall from the room next to mine!
