Lake view hotel but somewhat dated and no aircon

Pros: The location, right in front of Lake Lugano
Cons: Air conditioning, daily cleaning of the swimming pool
Location: Lake Lugano, Lake Como. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Opportunity to rent boats/kayaks. Windsurfing school
The location of this hotel is excellent, right in front of lake Lugano and it was nice to have a small pool next to the hotel and a balcony. What was very disappointing was the inflexibility of the hotel manager in particular with regards to the check in and check out time. We were not allowed to check in the room a bit earlier eventhough I looked like the rooms were ready as the hotel was not very busy at all. When we arrived at the hotel the manager told us off in a way for being "too early". On the day of departure the manager wanted more money for a late check out. We had already paid quite enough for this somewhat dated hotel with no airconditioning so I thought it was quite greedy from the hotel manager to request more money for his hotel which didn't seem very busy. So in a way I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It was nice to be near the lake but not nice not to be treated well.

Check-out time has got a supplement of 35 € per room. I did propose you and you did not want to pay it. we have got only 1 family-room. The swimming-pool ist immer abends sauber gemacht.

Very friendly and perfectly located. Not luxury but good standard. Maybe in hot times an aircondition could be missed.

Nettes Personal, jedoch Hotel bräuchte dringend eine renovation. Frühstück war auch nich sehr der Hit.

Hotel an guter Lage am See, jedoch veraltet.

Das hotel ist perfekt gelegen direkt am see und bietet gratis parkplätze. Leider ist der ganze komplex sehr veraltet und schlecht unterhalten. Es fängt beim schmuddeligen lift an und geht mit dem sterilen gang (wie spital) weiter. Die zimmer sind nicht immer 100% sauber, die lüftung im bad ist dermassen laut, dass man sein eigenes wort nicht versteht, gewisse zimmer haben zwar eine badewanne, man kann aber nicht duschen darin, da es keinen duschvorhang gibt und keine halterung für die brause. Der baustil ist typisch italienisch und sehr ringhörig. Ich und meine familie werden das hotel nicht mehr berücksichtigen, denn preis/leistung stimmen hier überhaupt nicht. Schade....
