Dear Lara Johanna We thank you for your review. These are definite areas we will have to look into and do our best to ensure that our guest experience is met at our resort. We often receive great reviews however your review has highlighted a difference indeed. We have taken on some new staffing and we are now seeing an impact of this. We have gone ahead and organized customer service training sessions of staff in an effort to ensure no reoccurrence of your experience. Again we do apologize for the inexperience and rudeness of the trainees. As we are a small resort it is difficult to offer a buffet service as from experience our wastage level is significant and as such we have had to implement a pre-ordering system which we have found to be successful with most of guests as their meals are freshly prepared. We will seek to improve on our vegetarian options. Not sure why ackee was not offered as it is on our menu as well. We are located in a rural parish and Portland is considered an ideal get-away from the hustle and bustle and offers the appeal of being immersed in the natural beauty of the parish. As such most hotels are located just outside of our only town, Port Antonio, and most do not have beach properties. A short drive will take you to where your interest lies. Again, thank your for your feedback and apologize for the issues experienced.
