Liked the space save ideas in the room; having extra bunk, separate shower, sink and toilet was good idea and understand this would work well for workmen sharing a room. Lack of electric/charging points in the room was a little annoying as had to plug in both phones away from the bed which also had alarm on it. Expected budget so was happy with the room as only for 1 night before moving onto pricier accommodation. And OMG the bed was sooooo comfy, I didn't feel the usual tremors when my partner turned over, not once! :) Only issue was the lack of parking which was rectified by being able to use B&Q carpark opposite (this alternative parking was advised by Reception and our reg was logged by them) but we did feel a bit anxious about it being out there, but it was fine when we came back to it in the morning.

The distance to the city center is about 45 min by walk and about 10-15 min by car. A tesco (shop) is just 1 min away and a Lidl about 5 min. The staff is very kind and happy to help. Room was very basic - a chair and a kettle would be great. For a short stay is a good choice :)

Definitely wouldn’t recommend

Is ideal for a single person! Very noisy at night, local kids shouting and chucking glass bottles, hotel rooms are noisy can hear people talking and flushing toilets. Parking is awful. You pay to park at the hotel and 9 times out of 10 you can’t get a space. Bed was uncomfortable. Ended up leaving early hours and couldn’t sleep with so much going on outside and was so noisy. Wouldn’t stay again

Dear Beth, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry your stay was so disappointing. The area is usually very quiet at night; and, of course, weekends are more prone to noise. Car park however, it is free - on the bays next to the hotel and on the shared car park across the street, where there are plenty of spaces. Sincerely

Alright it’s basic , but it’s a bit dirty but it’s cheap so worth it. Free Parking and takeaway nearby aswell

Basic cheap hotel ok for one night

Pros: Booked early hence low price just wanted one night following ferry from Bilbao. If you want extra facilities stay in Portsmouth centre.
Cons: Parking very limited and overflow parking in unsecured area. Expensive vending machine prices, buy from supermarket.
Location: Near Tesco Express, McDonalds and KFC.
Basic cheap clean hotel, firm bed, hairdryer but no other toiletries, no in room tea/coffee etc, Cheap pizza available and vending machines coffee/snacks in reception for late arrivals. Very limited parking, expect to be in overflow parking at B and Q 100 yards away (unsecured) after 3pm. Minimal noise.

Somewhere to lay your head.

Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Kettle/Tea/coffee on room would be nice
Location: n/a
Let's face it it's just a room. Ok for the price. Wouldn't want to spend any time other than sleeping here though.
