Excellent hotel, beautiful location on the banks of the Thames. Staff were great, rooms gorgeous. The problem was in lack of effective communication that the attached restaurant was independently run. The need to have booked a table for every meal caused embarrassment when the staff in the restaurant did not know that we had booked via the reception desk. There is no need for this if you are aware of the situation clearly on booking via the internet and indeed on booking in at the reception desk on arrival.

Perfection for our event

Pros: Location, parking, quality of the accommodation, the food and staff.
Cons: Yes, the communications between the hotel and the Coppa Club, who provide the food, is "Mickey Mouse"!
Location: The Mill at Sonning is an excellent, long established dinner theatre and entertainment centre
We stayed overnight with 10 other friends after attending a Chris Barber concert at the Mill. Everything was excellent except as noted below which only slightly dented our enjoyment.

Lovely hotel - fab restaurant and gorgeous room.

Pros: The hotel, the rooms, the restaurant
The location was great on the river and for a one night work stay was positively idyllic - almost felt like I was on a mini break. The restaurant is also fabulous and between dinner, breakfast and the room - the rate was incredibly resonable. The rooms are styled beautifully - I think my bathroom had been half renovated, so a new shower and the rest not so new. It also smelled a little damp and the bottom of the bathroom door was damaged - what looked as though flood damaged, but again, I think this is part of the ongoing renovation.
