the hotel is terrible - super cold, old, dated, no internet, no TV, no phone working, no room service, no working hair dryer, no soap and shampoo in the shower when I first arrived, no receptionist available I had to call him, mattress is cheap and bad quality. Rather than a review, I should request a refund!

Our main problem was the woodlouse swimming for its little life in our jug of water in the restaurant, after which I didn't fancy eating the rest of my soup. We'd both already drunk a glass of water each out of that jug before I saw it splashing into my glass when I poured a second. We found out the next morning that the food hygiene rating was only 2 (awaiting a new score following a more recent inspection) so we decided not to have breakfast there. The room was okay but the beds were rather soft and uncomfortable. It was reasonably clean but the carpet looked rather dirty. The staff were pleasant but I was surprised that we were charged for our small supper (costing a mere £8.70 for two) after the woodlouse incident rather than it being waived as a goodwill gesture. Much inferior to the Travelodge in Guildford, which was spotless, with comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast (with a food hygiene rating of 5!).

There were too many small things undone: broken bed side light switch, very loose hot tap in the bathroom, air conditioning not working well ( it was cooler in the corridor than in the bedroom.)

very unhappy about this hotel a total rip off

Pros: nothing
Cons: good management staffing train your staff about customer service tell the truth and treat your customers with dignity
I booked arrived after work gone 8 pm very tired i needed a shower no towels I phoned only to be told they are short staffed and I will get the towels if and when free waited 40 minutes still no towels the lady said she was all by herself but I had nothing to do with shortage of staff I needed to rest ,the towels arrived after 20 min after I complained for the second time but that was just the beginning there was loud music till gone 2 am so no sleeping the traffic on the road was horrible I just wanted to cry in the morning wanted to have coffee but no no kettle phoned again and got questioned why there was no kettle ???????????????? went to speak to the gentleman on the desk and I wanted to speak to the manager but got told manager not available Wrote a complaint letter and I was told manager will phone me they didn't till I phoned 3 times and finally got to speak to her she apologised and promised to pay my money back I just learned she only put back 30 pounds So that is another lie I will be taking this forward if I don't get my money back in 7 days

exactly what we were looking for as an overnight stay

On arrival the outside of the Hotel looked like it was in need of a paint job or even being cleaned. Inside was better. The staff were very friendly and attentive. and check in was so easy. Although our room was a little trek it was very clean and modern although basic and could of had a picture or two on the walls., and the view overlooking the valley was lovely. Would go back again.
