Convenient, with spacious, well appointed lobby

Pros: Location. Cleanliness. Facilities. Peaceful.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities for guests in their rooms. Microwave in rooms. Free pool entrance for guests. Better wifi.
Location: Wonderful Perlan, Harpa and various museums. Lovely citty to explore within easy walking distance.
Loved the location as we didn't mind walking into town. Compared well with other hotels that we saw. Lovely entrance, with well-appointed lobby facilities and excellent staff. Very clean and modern, with lovely art work and decorations. Good weather forecast information. Easy to book excursions from the hotel shop. Good TV in the room, but unfortunately the internet was very poor and kept dipping in and out. Bit disappointed that the room was so small, with no tea/coffee facilities or microwave. Extremely expensive, but no more so than the rest of Reykjavik! I thought that the online information about the hotel was fair before we booked. The most disappointing thing was that there was an additional entrance fee per person to get into the swimming pool for each session. The pool was one of the most attractive features of the hotel and one of its selling points for us before we went. Really disappointed that we never used it as the entrance fee would have been about forty pounds for the both of us per swim!

Clean & comfortable

Pros: Breakfast was amazing. The hotel was light, warm and comfortable. We thought attempts to be green were good.
Cons: Developing the green ethos would be excellent, for instance not using plastic.
Location: Plenty of shops, cafes, museums and the churches to visit. If you buy a ticket at the National Museum you can get in free to the Culture House.
Although next to an airport, there was no noise disturbance. It was about a 25 minute walk from the town centre but a free bus pass was provided by the hotel ( for a refundable deposit ). The hotel was clean, comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfasts were excellent catering for a wide range of tastes. Be aware that it is extra to your bill, as are hotel facilities.

Clean functional hotel.

Food good in restaurant and happy hour in the bar a bonus considering price of alcohol in Iceland. 4th floor lounge for certain rooms also unexpected but not very welcoming but snacks and drinks welcomed. Expect everything to be highly efficient without being regimented. People are very friendly.

Functional but friendly

Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The spa was great. This hotel is one of the few hotels in the Rekjavik area with a pool.
Cons: There were inconsistencies with housekeeping with things sometimes not being replaced or cleaned properly. Ventilation in rooms needs looking at.
Location: Out of the downtown area means less hustle and bustle. Lovely walk on the hill opposite. One bus stop or 20 min walk to geothermal beach - great.
We stayed here for twelve nights which is unusual for this hotel as it tends to be used for short stay Reykjavik stopovers. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. We had a room overlooking the front and the Perlan. This was requested as we'd read reviews that said that the airport side get full afternoon and evening sun so the rooms can get very hot without being able to cool them down easily. As it was, our room was still quite warm but cooled down by the afternoon due to the sun being off it. We asked for and got a fan which helped a lot and we took our duvets out of the cover as they were just too hot and just slept with the cover and a blanket. Perfect. The restaurant was fine. Nothing special but at leat they had a vegetarian option or two. Breakfast was good but for the price I would expect it to be. The spa was a great place to relax and we made use of it three times during our stay as it was included in our room rate. I'm not sure how good a deal that was. If you're out on trips there often isn't time to use it. A cheaper room may have proved better value even when having to pay for spa usage (you get one spa visit included). Do your research! I think all rooms except the suites are the same size, i.e. small, so apart from art on the walls, spa use and use of the small lounge with refreshments (which was quite useful but not essential), perhaps the standard room might be OK. I would definitely stay here again.

One night stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Reykjavik Natura. The room was fine and very clean. We felt the restaurant was a little over priced for what was being served. However the staff were very helpful and efficient
