Awful, uncomfortable bed - like laying on concrete. Air con didn’t work. Awful cheap hotel.

First trip to Rome

The Hotel was yards away from Via Veneto (expensive eating places) and we found the staff very pleasant and accommodating. Room was clean, cool (temp was 37 degrees) and well proportioned. Breakfasts were excellent, however they did not cater for evening meals. At the top of a hill but local buses run to Via Veneto no.160. Bus co. suspended service 116 on 27/07/15 right outside Hotel door, shame! Overall a very good stay for our week in Rome.

Disappointed

We had to move room after the first night due to noisy teenagers late at night. The room was small and in need of refurbishment. The air conditioning failed on our second day as we reached temperatures of 35C. I had water running from a light fitting which was resolved by putting the waste bucket under the fitting!! I was insulted by the receptionist when I complained and was made to feel like a beggar when i asked for more water in my mini bar. I would never use this hotel again and would reccommend others to do the same.

Great view from breakfast room

Stayed at hotel Eliseo for four nights in February. The view from the breakfast room was fantastic and the selection of foods was excellent.The room itself was small enough but the bed was big and the bathroom was a nice size.The room was very clean.The bar man Santino was a real gentleman and is an asset to the hotel.he recommended places to eat and places to see.we were able to walk to everything from the hotel , it is located only a few minutes from the Spanish Steps.

Anniversary getaway

Room was a little smaller than expected but it in no way detracted from the experience. Staff were courteous and helpful. Great breakfast room located at roof level - nice way to wake up to the cityscape. Hotel located at the top of a hill so be prepared for a daily exercise. All areas within sensible walking distance

Great Hotel!

I booked this hotel for 5 nights with my girlfriend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel has a great feel about it and the staff on the desk are very polite and helpful especially if you make an effort speaking Italian. The room was a little on the small side but that didn't bother us at all as it had everything you would need in the space available. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bathroom provided a good shower/bath and nice clean towels. The minibar was reasonable and the TV showed CNN and BBC World News as well as a selection of Italian channels which were interesting to flick through. The air conditioning perhaps wasn't the best as it kept the room at an ambient temperature but not massively cool, however this was good enough for us and provided some relief from the heat outside. I had noticed comments about the decor before we booked and i can understand why the fussier of guests would make comment. The room was probably due a bit of a makeover but having said that it was clean and still pleasannt none the less. The breakfast were always a highlight of the day a good selction of fruit, cheese, meat, toast, pastries, yoghurts and cereal provided a solid start to the days exploring. Location wise this hotel was ideal, close to the metro and the Spanish Steps with good views of the surrounding area. The walk back up the hill after a days sightseeing was a little tiring but provided good exercise after all the ice cream and pizza eaten during the evening. Overall I suspect 4 stars may be a bit of a stretch however at the reasonable price that we paid for the room we were more than happy with the stay and would definately consider a return to Rome and the Eliseo.

Il y a une bouilloire et du thé café dans la chambre mais les prises sont inaccessibles. Le minibar n'est pas très cher mais les produits assez vieux.Décoration assez kitsch mais vue incroyable pour le petit déjeuner.
