Had a nice stay here, comfortable rooms. Spa facilities are ok if not many people in there as quite small. Staff were very helpful. Downside found restaurant to be quite expensive for dinner. We asked for a portion of chips , as we thought this was included, apparently it wasn’t and was £3.80 for a very small serving(McDonald’s size) Also my husbands starter was a terrine served with two tiny pieces of bread, we heard other diners complain about this starter aswell. Breakfast was good.

Comfortable hotel close to the A21

We had a very short stay on Saturday night with an early start on the Sunday. There was plenty of parking space and check in was straightforward. The room was comfortable and quiet.

Bedrooms in urgent need of updating

Good stay

Pros: Friendliness of staff in restaurant., opened early for me.
Cons: I didn't get a refund for the night I couldn't stay. My daughter was discharged home from ITU.
Location: I booked because it was next door to the hospital
I stayed at the Mercure when my daughter was taken ill, in order to be close to her in the hospital next door The staff were kind and friendly.

family party

It was a nice hotel but mould on windows . Bar food expensive but nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good clean rooms, but hot

A very clean room but very hot due to a heated towel rail being on permanently in the bathroom and no air conditioning. Very friendly receptionist that catered for all our extra needs. Adequate pool, but no staff on so had to ask a guest where to go and where to get a towel. Nice large car park, and fairly quiet in the rooms. Did not eat here after seeing the limited menu but asked advice from the receptionist. Quite expensive for a night with no breakfast. Good position, easy access to Tunbridge Wells.

Country town 4*

Very pleasant staff but this did not have the feel of the 4* rating sadly. Neither of the papers we ordered for the two mornings arrived at our room (or were indeed available), the white duvet had a most unpleasant navy stain on the underside, toiletries were basic and the hotel was not really what I would expect of a 4* for the price. In addition, my check in details identified me as as US visitor with an address somewhere in the mid West. (all untrue!). On the positive side, there was a lovely pool and the restaurant staff bent over backwards to give us dinner on the first evening for our 'late' arrival at 9.30pm. Organisational issues could easily be resolved I am sure.
