Cons: The group of lads that where drinking on the stairs entrance to hotel could put some people off
The staff where helpful, the room could have done with a update! it looked basic and dated ( chips in wall, paint on shirting boards chipped ) The bed was good sheets looked and felt clean, Toilet and bathroom where clean but the spare toilet roll was ringing wet Parking was good and the hotel is well placed in the centre of Manchester Ideal for the concert we went too

Poorly maintained and dated

I picked the hotel because the review score wasn't bad but unfortunately wasn't what I would call a good hotel. The room is in need of maintenance. The bathroom in particular is in a bit of a state. There were hairs on the sink and the desk when we arrived so hadn't been cleaned properly. We were only left one set of towels despite two of us staying and the room was not serviced properly after the first night. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, there is plenty of parking and the location is good for central Manchester. The reception staff were also very friendly.

Flying from Manchester Airport

We booked this hotel as it was only 15 minutes from Manchester Airport (at 04.00am). We made the reservation in April for a stay in July. I contacted the hotel directly to request a room near to the entrance to the car park so as not to disturb other guests as we were leaving in the early hours of the morning. They replied immediately which I was impressed with and confirmed that room 102 had been allocated to us. When we checked in we were given a different room and was told they had to give our room to people who had arrived earlier as the cleaners were still cleaning the other rooms. The room we were given was at the far end of a corridor and we were told we could still get to the car park. When we checked it out it was a staircase down to the car park which was completely out of the question as we had heavy suitcases and would have made a lot of noise carrying them down the stairs. So we had to wheel them to the entrance with a slope to the car park past many rooms. So not impressed with the fact that we were trying to be considerate and the hotel not fulfilling there promise of a room near the exit to the car park. Overall the room was big and clean - fine for a nights stay. We ate in the restaurant which was not good as I woke up with a funny tummy not great when we were about to fly. I have ticked to say I would recommend the hotel based on staying for one night and not eating in the restaurant
