Nice historic hotel with vast attractive grounds. No air conditioning in rooms and pool facilities beginning to look a little tired. All in all good value for the deal we got. Buffet cooked and continental breakfast was extensive - the only thing missing perhaps was hash browns.

attended a wedding

everything here was fantastic from arrival to departure. hotel is in a wonderful setting, very romantic, the perfect wedding venue, the food was amazing and the staff were 1st class.

Poor staff

Stayed an overnight after deciding to spend the day in Peebles. Staff upon arrival seemed to just want to get you checked in and get you out the road, rooms were okay, very spacious although ion the bathroom there was a hole in the floor. At half past 6 in the morning the fire alarms went off and had to evacuate the building to find there was no fire it was actually water that had got into the fire alarms and without any attempt of apology from the staff member who told us to. "Just go back inside" to the staff in the morning of check out who didn't want to know.

Relaxing break

Gorgeous castle and grounds, good leisure facilities and a comfy bed. Decor fresh but a little gloomy.Would definately consider a return visit.

Perfect escape

Perfect, Staff were great there was a fault with a radiator which was sorted straight away , Wish we had stayed longer than just 2nights

Great value

My girlfriend and i very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel, friendly and helpful bar staff, nice pool and facilities, all set within the lovely surroundings of Peebles and Eddleston. Lovely place thats worth a visit.

Should I share our secret escape ?

From the friendly and helpful staff, ( Manager, Graeme) to the magic hands (of Emma) in the Spa, this beautiful castle and location provided us with the warmest welcome and most enjoyable easter weekend stay. Attending a wedding on the Saturday was a delight and Colin, the concierge, was incredibly helpful and professional. The marriage service, conducted by Scottish Borders Council Registrar, Fiona, moved us to tears. The band, Night Talk, made the evening fly by and the food was plentiful and simply perfect. Definately going back. Swimming in the pool in the evening was romantic and peaceful. Thank you.
