Located in Inverness

The hotel is an old mansion full of character and charm. The staff was excellent and the food was as well. We had a very enjoyable stay and recommend this place without hesitation.

Good hotel, but difficult to locate

I used to live in Inverness, many years ago, but I did find it difficult to find. The building is lovely and decor fitting to the hotels era. It is an easy hotel in which to relax and the bedroom was spacious and very comfotable. For me that it had a bath was a big bonus instead of just a shower. The only disappointment was the food. The menu outside the front door indicated tasty possibilities, the actual menu that evening was bland. Well presented and served, but interesting, no. The breakfast made up for this somewhat, though. The time of year perhaps accounts for the menu, but then the cost of my stay counterbalanced this. All in all a lovely hotel at a reasonable price.
