New, modern hotel in good location

Stayed for 2 Nights at the Campernile Bund. The hotel is in a good location, about a 5 minute walk from the Yu Garden Metro station and a ten minute walk to the Nanjing Road shopping area and a ten minute walk to Yuan Gardens. The hotel is new and modern. The room and bathroom were of a good standard and tea/coffee making facilities were provided, as well as two bottles of water and a small packet of cookies each day, which I thought was a nice touch. The breakfast was 68 Yuan and there was plenty of choice. It was nice that croissants and pain au chocolates were also provided. The hotel isn't in the middle of all the hustle & bustle, though it's only a short walk away. In comparison to other hotels in Shanghai, the Campernile is good value and is a nice, modern, clean hotel.

We had a great time staying nine nights at Campanile Shanghai Bund Hotel. The room is spacious and nicely equipped with an (somewhat noisy) air conditioner, TV, safe, fridge, kettle, and a hair dryer. Small bottles of water were brought to the room each day during the cleaning. The breakfast was very nice with fresh bread, croissants, varying warm and local dishes, fruits, coffee etc.. The staff had a few issues with the coffee machines, but otherwise we were very pleased to start each day of our stay with a full stomach. The staff was very nice and helpful for example when we needed to order a taxi from the hotel. Once or twice the cleaning ladies bothered us even though we had the sign on the door which was a bit annoying, made worse by the fact that they didn't speak any English, nor did we Chinese... The location is a walking distance from the Bund, People's Square, East Nanjing road, Yu Garden etc. and next to a park where you can see the locals running and walking.

Tolles Hotel zu guten Preis

Die Ungebung lässt anfänglich nicht auf den guten Zustand des Hotel schliessen. Doch es ist Modern und Sauber. Die erste Nacht hatte ich ein Zimmer welches im Badezimmer stark gerochen hat. Umgehend wurde ich in ein gleichwertiges Zimmer umgebucht. Das istwohl das erste Hotel das meiner Meinung nach den 3ten Stern verdient hätte. Was könnte man verbessern. Die Fenster, welche nicht ganz dicht sind. Die Abflüsse, der Geruch kam mit der Zeit auch im neuen Zimmery. Scheint imganzen Haus zu sein. Restaurant Personal spricht teils fast kein Englisch. Ständig wird alles abgeräumt, selbst wenn man nur etwas zum nachschöbpfen geht. Die Burger/Sandwich sind sehr klein. Menü sond in Chinesisch und Französisch, verstndlich da eine Französische Hotelkette in China, doch Englisch als drittsprache währe nicht schlecht.
