Hotel right on the edge of the Sheffield University student village. Room was excellent, modern decoration and in perfect condition. Cooked full English breakfast was also very good though decor in the breakfast room let it down with a canteen feel to it.

Ex university hall of residence. Our double room was quite small. Would have liked a bath in bathroom. Very hot the night we stayed and fan not adequate. Nice location and staff were excellent. Superb breakfast.

I am sorry to hear that you found your room to be small, due to our previous function as a girl’s halls of residence not all our rooms are extremely large, however we believe we have equipped them with everything (and more!) that our guests may need throughout their stay. We only have two rooms with baths in, so when you next book with us, please ask for one of those rooms and we will try our hardest to accommodate. Kind regards, The Halifax Hall Hotel Team.

Staff were nice but needed more training. Slight lack of perception to guests needs. Car park too small. Had to park in street both nights i was there. No tea making facility in room. Machine in corridor which was never complete with items. Also machine outside my room so noisy guests congregating 12 midnight getting drinks. My second night had to est in noisy bar due to a wedding.... apparently dining room was part of wedding, but actualky looked emoty when i passed. Dinner nice on 1st night....ate in dinning room. Raw burger served 2nd night. Breskfast good but had to ask waitress yo take my order after sitti g there for 20 mins. Room clean but small. Not likely to stay again.

If asked, our reception staff can place a tea tray in your room and would be happy to provide this on request if you stay with us again. Our restaurant is always open from 6pm-10pm despite the wedding so apologies that you felt uncomfortable sitting in the bar. If informed of any issues with food quality our food and beverage staff are trained to always offer a replacement meal and we hope you would give us the chance to resolve any problems.
