The air-con in room 611 wasn't working, but as I could open the window, I didn't care. More disastrous: the coffee machine was out of order. Instant coffee at breakfast time! Main thing is that the hotel is really convenient to the theatre and entertainment area, and the station, which made it ideal for my purposes over 2 nights.

Nice hotel with city views

Pros: Convenient distance from train station and shops.
Cons: Fresher towels.
Location: Centrally located in Sheffield city centre. Lots to do within walking distance.
Quiet room with views of trams passing outside window. Modern decor heating that works. Comfy bed. All enclosed pod type shower room.

Good for a city break

Pros: Location in city center, quiet and safe.
Location: Great location, everything within walking distance.
We stayed at the hotel just for one night to attend a concert at the city hall. The hotel is within walking distance from the train station. Upon arrival we were asked if we prefer a room with a window with a view to the street (might be noisy) or one without window but would be quiet for sure. We went for one with window. As the room was on the 4th floor and the street is a quiet one anyway (not a highway) we couldn't hear any traffic. Everything was in great condition in the room with some nice little details when it comes to the area where you can hang your coats and/or reading lights for example. Very good selection at buffet breakfast as well with reasonable price when you pre-book. Can't fault anything! :)

Done the job

We didnt pay very much at all for the room. The hotel is centrally located and perfect for a nights kip. Our room was nice inside, clean, modern and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. There was only a view of a brick wall in our room but for the price we paid and the fact that we only slept there it did the job fine.

Location: Good restaurants and lively city. Also excellent transport.
Central and good communication but hard to find. Nice and helpful staff.
