Mediocre is an overstatement. Unfortunately we won't be returning. Glad I didn't pay anywhere near the full room rate because there simply was nothing premium about the room and I would have been asking for a partial or full refund. It was hardly busy and there was lots of niggly service related issues i.e slow service, staff not checking your meal was ok, other guests complaining etc. Only redeeming feature was the woodland walk nearby. I really would not come back.

Loved Wortley Hall It is a beautiful old Hall and a fabulous place for a celebration and special occasion. The only thing we were VERY disappointed with is the restaurant was closed and only serving bar meals. Not ideal if booking a special occasion overnight stay and expecting to eat a lovely meal in the restaurant.

In need of redecorating. No heating throughout our stay. Lack of toiletries. Advertised as four star on arrival found it only to be a three star. Beds not made or bins emptied during our stay either.
