Overall the hotel looked grand and the reception was nice. Staff at check in were polite and attentive and our room was available early. I didn’t eat at the restaurants because the location was pretty much walking distance to plenty of other eateries - but the hotel restaurant prices appeared reasonable and if I had stayed longer I would have tried them out. Breakfast was good with ample selection and space to sit - very clean with food presented well. Only thing was my room had missing tea/coffee facilities and I had to call twice to get someone to restock. I also received a random bill for minibar consumption which I didn’t have.

Lovely modern room in a great location. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Building work was going on in the corridor without any real signage. Not a fan of sticking two single beds together and calling it a double.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We always aim high when providing a high standard of service to our esteemed clients. Furthermore, please kindly note The Palace is currently in its very final stages of renovation. Therefore once again we would like to apologies for the inconvenience caused by not putting any signage during your stay. 5 * hotel at 3* prices

-Aside from the check-in which held incorrect details about me, which was quickly sorted, it was a genuine 5 * standard hotel. -The room was large, spacious and clean. -Excellent fitness facilities. -Friendly staff. -Talk of the Town café was very impressive and far exceeded the standard of most hotel bars.

Pretentious, certainly not 5 star

This hotel likes to pretend that it can compete with genuine 4 and 5 star hotels, but fails in most respects. The outdoor pool is small and overcrowded. Food is plentiful, but only of average quality. Balconies are small and the beds are uncomfortable. On the positive side most of the staff are great with a few notable exceptions. Some of the reception staff (Stephanie) are particularly unhelpful.

Brilliant Hotel

The Palace is a wonderful hotel in a great location. We stayed in an executive room, which included a free mini bar. When we arrived, it was a joy to find a welcoming bowl of fruit on top of the complimentary mini bar - which is topped up daily. The staff were really friendly and knowledgable, which helped us book some amazingly relaxing spa treatments. One of the great things about The Palace, is the Hotel Mini Bus which will can take you on a very reasonably priced day trip. We went to the old Capital Mdina. Or it can take you anywhere on the island for a very fair fee. Much less hassle than arranging a taxi! Loved The Palace. We would recommend at the drop of a heartbeat. Amazing place. Book now!

Great hotel - 10 mins walk from center

Hotel staff were all really friendly and helpful, breakfast was great with a wide range of choices. We had a room with a balcony over looking the town and harbour. It was all south facing so we had the sun all day when it was out. I would be happy to stay there again

OK-ish for the price

Not bad but not 5*. The Tempt India restaurant was not up to UK indian restaurant standards. I thought that the sauce was pre-made commercially. My room booking was for an exec room . The hotel details said that this included a free mini-bar but, in fact, I was charged for my mini-bar drinks since I booked thru e-bookers rather than direct with the hotel. We asked for the sheets to be changed ( by placing a card on the bed) on the last-but-one night but it did not happen.

Good location

The hotel is in good location. The rooms are big but lacks cleanliness. The hotel reception staffs are fantastic- very good service and helpful. Food at restaurants is good.bit expensive. There are lots of restaurants around serving good italian food. Overall I am happy with my stay.
