Hotel was fantastic. Paid for a superior room which gave us excellent views over the harbour and Valletta. Room was very spacious, modern and clean with more than enough cupboard space to fully unpack. The bed was massive and comfortable and the bathroom clean and a good size. The hotels roof top pool was a massive selling point to this hotel and didn’t disappoint. The pool area itself was fantastic with plenty of sun beds available and there was even a second outdoor pool we were unaware of which was adults only which was good. The staff through out the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the food on offer was very good. The gym and spa area were very good and the indoor pool area would be nice in the cooler months but as it was August when we stayed it was too hot in there to use. The gym was excellent and very well equipped. Also there was a changing room area there which proved really useful as we had a late flight home and were able to change and shower there before leaving as check out is at noon. The hotels location is also fantastic, set back in some quiet back streets, its further enough away from the hustle of the main roads yet only a 5 minute walk to the water front and restaurants in Sliema and the ferry terminals over to Valletta and all the boat tours on offer. It’s also only a 30 minute walk to the much busier and livelier resort of St Julian’s. All in all I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to anyone wanting to visit Malta.

Overall the hotel looked grand and the reception was nice. Staff at check in were polite and attentive and our room was available early. I didn’t eat at the restaurants because the location was pretty much walking distance to plenty of other eateries - but the hotel restaurant prices appeared reasonable and if I had stayed longer I would have tried them out. Breakfast was good with ample selection and space to sit - very clean with food presented well. Only thing was my room had missing tea/coffee facilities and I had to call twice to get someone to restock. I also received a random bill for minibar consumption which I didn’t have.

Lovely modern room in a great location. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Building work was going on in the corridor without any real signage. Not a fan of sticking two single beds together and calling it a double.
