The location of the Victoria Hotel was excellent. The staff were all polite and the front desk very welcoming. I contacted the hotel prior to staying and they completed my request efficiently. The room was large and clean and the breakfast plentiful with lots of choice.

The hotel is stylish and lovely. The rooms are a good size and contain all you need for a comfortable stay. Staff are friendly, buffet choice good and well cooked. They have themed buffet nights and you can purchase buffet tickets when required at a good rate. It is located between the sea side of Sliema and the Valetta facing side, if you can't walk up inclines then that would be a problem as getting to the front is by walking up slight hilly roads. Well worth it though

The hotel is located up the hill about a 7 min walk from the ferry stop. As far as im concerned it was spot on. Buses were plentiful and next to the ferry stop, they would take you all over the island via valletta The reception staff are excellent, very friendly. The room itself was nice and we were given a free upgrade which was a nice touch. I must admit i was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, it could have been better. We did find hairs on arrival around the bathroom and then what seemed to be the cleaners hairs after they visited. I would also prefer the safe to be bigger. Overall good. The indoor pool etc was very nice and relaxing. They have two restaurants in house, we never tried the copperfield but did try penny blacks on friday but it was a poor experience unfortunately. The manager there was quite rude which resulted in us complaining. As i say the reception were wonderful, they dealt with it well. Breakfast was ok, lots on offer. Would i stay here again? Yes i would. It offered good value for money.

Beautiful Location

Malta is very beautiful. The people are not friendly and show know respect to tourists. The food is not very nice. Need to spend a lot of money in restaurants to get the best. Not good for your pocket. The service at restaurants is very bad. Got a lot of young people working don'the know how to talk to people .

Good service, friendly staff but hotel looks very outdated, rooms are clean though. Breakfast isn’t great.

Great location Great Hotel

Pros: R&R, staff, restaurant and bar at the hotel and the facilities especially the gym and pools
Cons: Nothing keep up the good standards
Location: About 10mins walk from Sliema Ferries bus terminal which has buses going all over the island. The island is your Oyster
The Victoria is an old school hotel and certainly not you club 18-30 style. It's location is great it's about 5/10 mins walk from either side of Sliema peninsula and thus is away from the traffic of the prom. The facilities at the hotel are excellent especially the gym and the hotel very much caters for the holiday maker looking to relax. Staff were excellent and efficient and the hotel was always clean. Breakfast was varied and good overall and the couple of dinners we had in the hotel due to the storms.. yes storms outside were excellent and good value for money. All in all I would recommend the Victoria but if you are looking for a clubbing base head further north to St Julians, Paceville or Buggiba. if you want some R&R then this is just for you. PS This is our second visit to the Victoria and I doubt it will be our last. TC

Missing the little things.

Pros: TOP TIP: There is a sun lounge on Floor 7 attached to the indoor pool and because the indoor pool isn't used by many it often sits there nearly empty.
Cons: The Hotel charges E2.75 for a bottle of water, literally around the corner it's 40 cents. Charge 3 euro more on the room and GIVE the water away.
Location: 7 minutes from the sea. Scotts super marker 5minutes away is a life saver. My advice. Sleep in the Vic and Eat in the Palace.
We read many reviews before going to Malta and one of the things mentioned by the masses was the 'service' given in Hotels and places to eat. The Victoria Hotel is an interesting example of what many of the reviews said. We checked in at 11.50am. We asked if there was a 24 hour store in the area so we could buy some water, maybe a bottle of coke and a candy bay as it was a long time until breakfast. The person manning the front desk informed us that, 'no, there is nothing local that will be open'. Then, when we got to our room we found a bottle of water. He must have forgotten. More amazing was our finding a vending machine containing water, soda, chocolate and crisps RIGHT next to the front desk. This theme of 'lack' when it came to knowledge of the premises continued though the week. Room service on one occasion took 80 minutes, 2 calls and finally delivered an ice cold pizza. BUT they did give a full refund. We gave them another shot later in the week and in this instance they forgot to bring to bill for us to pay.. so again, we had to wait. Little things.. silly things. With a little training, this could be a really awesome Hotel. The maid service produced a super clean room, they were very helpful and friendly, the 'Day' shift front desk were also really helpful. There is a fridge in each room which is a great addition and much needed. But no face towel/flannel. ? Breakfast is ok. Zero table service. Tea and coffee from 2 different machines.
