The property is in amazing grounds and is very well equipped with a pool steam room and gym which are good facilities. The breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone it is great.

1 night stay

Pull up bed in room was disgraceful for a child no room to move. Wedding on the night we stayed and no room to sit in lounge and hard to get drinks. Breakfast was very good.

Ok hotel. Didn't wow me.

Everything was just ok, nothing to wow me. Didn't eat in the restaurant as prices were very expensive. Room was cold and walls thin. Could hear that my neighbour had an upset stomach in the night. Housekeeping was hoovering in the corridor by 9am so don't expect a lay in.

Disappointing Rugby Weekend

My 10 year old daughter travelled to the area on 5/9/15 to spectate at a rugby tournament being held nearby, the following day. We visited the New Forest and called the hotel to check the opening hours of the swimming pool. The receptionist knew my 10 year old was with me. I was informed last access to pool was 715. We cut short our visit to the forest to make use of the advertised pool. On arrival we were informed by the receptionist (in a take it or leave it manner) that children are only allowed in said pool, between 11am and 1pm, (after check out and before check in). We only booked this particular hotel because of the pool advertised. No restrictions were declared at booking time. I would not have booked this hotel if it hadn't displayed the pool. Attitude of the staff was rotten. I would not stay at this hotel ever again.

Great hotel, great facilities, 2nd stay and will return

Second time I have used this hotel as a base for business and it is ideal. Nice acommodation, good staff and a gym at a very reasonable price. I will use again.

Good hotel for a break

Old fashioned hotel but with a modern annexe and good leisure facilities. Rooms are comfortable but tight on space. The hotel was very busy on the Saturday night that we stayed due to a wedding taking place there.

Hotel review

Welcome warm. Room very comfortable and clean. Little disconcerted when asking for a rare steak on ciabatta to be told I'm not sure we do that. Thankfully it came as requested.
