Very standard building, rooms was ok, mould on bathroom ceiling, creaky beds and air con did not work

Avoid - for now

Pros: Rooms are large and comfortable with brand new bathroom
Cons: Poor facilities. Pool and gym closed and have been for over a year I'm told. Car park is way too small. Limited seating in lounge as they often close part of it for functions. Argumentative reception staff. This hotel is transitioning from Hilton to Double Tree brand. I'd recommend to stay elsewhere until the transition is completed as the facilities offer nothing more at present than a premier inn.
Location: Handy location on edge of Southampton.

Quiet location

Not happy about charge for parking Room service did a bad job of fixing up the room. Bed hastily made 3 pillows instead of 4 put on the bed the rest were dumped on the extra bed for our daughter which was not properly made up.

An overnight stay

The hotel was the base camp for a quick overnight stop after meeting friends in town, so there wasn't much time spent in the hotel. Having said that first impressions of the hotel were good and the place seemed lively and smart. The whole stop-over would have gone perfectly if it wasn't for a room faff as we were checking in. I had booked a deluxe double and was being given a standard twin room! I was even told at one point that there were no other rooms left yet seconds after 'putting my foot down' I was given the key to a deluxe double, as booked?! A little weird and somewhat frustrating. However the actual stay was very pleasent. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

good base for Southampton airport

Staff, service and food excellent, but the bed was awful and gave me very little sleep. It creaked too, really expected better.
