Disappointed

Pros: The location. The Concierge was vey helpful.
Cons: Bathrooms could be modernised. Facilities such as the bar and restaurant did not seem large enough to cope with the amount of people present.
Location: West Quay is five minutes walk away as is the High Street - plenty shops and restaurants nearby.
Stayed two nights - had requested connecting rooms to find on arrival that this was not possible; I would have appreciated being told that this was not possible when booking and then I would of looked for a different hotel. Two conventions being held in the hotel at the same time meant that the hotel was heaving with people and the reception area felt more like a shopping mall than a hotel reception. The bar area was full of convention delegates and the hotel did not feel like a hotel at all. We decided not to eat at the hotel for two reasons - one being the amount of people at the hotel and the second being that the menu we were shown did not really have much choice and was expensive. Having said that, the two rooms allocated to us were close by on the same floor and were spacious, although somewhat dated in the bathroom. I did not appreciate guests in the next room being so noisy as to wake me at 1am and then again at 3am with laughter and general noise - especially as I was leaving early (6.30am) the following morning to catch a plane. The car park was next to the hotel but was not secure - anyone could walk through it. It was also full - probably because of the conventions - so it was hard to find a place to park. The best part of the hotel was that it was close to West Quay.
