We booked this hotel over Christmas/NYE holiday at the last minute.
Pros: Pool bartenders were friendly and served strong drinks, tried very hard to make sure you were happy and that you could get something to eat. Food overall was good except breakfast. Had a nice shuttle that would take you to their beach house or into Speightstown for free which saved us a bunch in cab fare. Rooms were HUGE. Had separate seating areas and bedrooms. Nice bathrooms, clean, full kitchen (which is a little weird at an AI property I think). The property was very pretty. Had 2 restaurants on site that you had to make reservations, which is very strange for a small property. Had live music several times. Had a nice nature walk and art gallery and spa and gym.
Cons: Hard to get food/snacks after dinner (issue if you are diabetic). Once you ran out of free diet soda in your fridge in your room, you had to buy some from the front desk- but they gave us a bottle of alcohol for our anniversary for free (it was very sweet but we couldn't take it on the plane since we didn't check a bag). it was very unclear that you could order food at the pool outside of "lunch hours". Need better outline of what food is available where at what times. Some of the serving staff clearly didn't want to be there and weren't friendly. Front desk was hit or miss on friendliness. They once had a sister resort on the beach (almond bay) which had full amenities, but now they just have a beach house with 1 bath.
