Antigua Village Beach Resort
First, I was here on business and I have to say that the reception / guest services were great, super nice, the location is great as its close to the beach if you have time. however... I stayed in 20C , a studio apt on the 3rd floor. the furnishings were old and dated,I didnt even want to sit on the couch because it looked so dirty, there were holes in the curtains at the kitchen window, the shower was a trickle of water, the patio door barely opened with me putting my full weight behind it. I was here on business, so of course wifi was important, which continuously didn't work. The apt totes "cable channels" it maybe has 3 but I didn't get to watch any of them because the TV didn't work and after the 3rd day I gave up reporting it to the front desk. To top it off I was leaving Saturday morning but was told I would have to change rooms on Friday morning for my last nights stay, the apt I was moved to (33A) was much nicer, no dirty couches, the WIFI and TV worked and a finally got a decent shower. I've been traveling trough the Caribbean for business for the past 6 weeks, this room was $320 per night and whilst I am used to hotels in the Caribbean being more expensive for less comfort, in this case they should have been paying me to stay there!
