Staff was friendly & nice but room needed updating. No hot water at all during our stay & mattress was very poor. Some electrical outlets not working. Location of ppty seemed sketchy but turned out ok. Would not stay here again.

We love Antiguans, they are so polite

The photos in the promotion of this property are certainly not a true representation of how the property is now. Having said that we were delighted to be greeted by a very friendly group of staff members, who were very supportive throughout our stay. I hope they have fixed the problem we had with the cooker in Room 6. The property is fairly isolated if you have no car, which we didn’t, but there are a few eating places within a 10 minutes walk which we used to experience the local food. I can recommend Cool Runnings and Boy Boys, and for something more expensive Papa Zouk. You can walk, as we did often, to the nearest beach in an easy 30 minutes. The walk into St John’s takes about 25 minutes to the cruise terminal, but beware of the extortionate prices in this area. With a car you can easily get to all the highlights of the island. Sunday evening you must get to Shirley Heights, steel band and reggae group until 11pm with reasonably priced food and drinks. Many, many fantastic beaches. But my highlight of the whole week was the friendliness of the Antiguan people. Everyone says Hello or Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening. It’s so refreshing.

They get the lowest rating because they gave me the worst room. Next to washing machines, on road, generator and always on proprty light outside bedroom. Plus the curtains were paper thin. Pillows smelled of stank. Noise all night. Critters and tent rivaval next door. I booked here because the reviews for all the places in town scared me off. Not sure if it still would have been any worse. The walk to port was filled with cars and no sidewalk. Not that the ferry to montserrat ever left. Despite lots of lies that it would. Barbuda was a wasteland. Only good things at hotel were kfc down the street and tv channels and wifi. Pics are misleading. Not so nice in reality. Tv was old and tiny. Stove required matches to light. Didnt seem like anyone was in charge. They just had a piece of paper giving me directions on the office door. Seemed like some people room there for long periods of time. Try and get room in interior of complex. Maybe it has less car noise.
