quirky property, would love to go back for a meal in the restaurant. The shower took along time to become hot and only not much more than a dribble, turn the cold on get a greater pressure but a cold shower. Bedding made a lot of noise everytime you move around.

Quiet place to stay. Convenient to walk into town. Comfortable nights sleep although room and especially bathroom too cold. At least fan heater provided for back up. Bathroom heater not working. Room clean although a little dusty in places. Shower door needing some mould removal! Good breakfast provided in room. Perhaps layout of room could incorporate a couple of chairs to make breakfast easier to eat. Owner pleasant and helpful.

We loved staying at this quirky property. It was right in the centre of Stamford and very close to shops and bars. However, it was the friendly and helpful attitude of the owner that really made our stay worthwhile. I only wish that more hoteliers were like him.

Liked that it was so close to town centre,bed was very comfortable . Disliked the room, breakfast in a cupboard ! No where to sit with it. Bread,cousants pre-packed. Yogurt nd jam. Very old decor, chair falling to bits. Felt as though we were in the cheap seats. Four flights of stairs ,just as well we're reasonably fit.

Don’t really know what to say except that there are only 2 flights of stairs and that not one accommodation provider has a lift as this is a medieval town and the first conservation town in England. We do however apologise that we didn’t make the croissants, bread, yoghurts and jam!!!!

The cellar was beautiful here you could have a three course meal for £25.95 the surroundings were romantic the meal cooked to perfection and the service was perfect. Breakfast in your room could be taken anytime as cereal. Orange.tea coffee.sugar.milk. yogurt. Bread butter and jams were all at hand to see to yourself. If you wanted a n english breakfast this could be ordered the night before and eaten in the dinning area.the hosts fantastic. Loved being there and would go again

Very small room Poor facilities Breakfasts only in room which had nowhere to sit Only one beaker Wardrobe without hangers Shower dirty and washroom small, decor tired Heating was by portable heater for which there was no space Price high for such poor facilities

We are very surprised by your comments. You booked a single room which is by its very nature small. You say there was only one beaker , there are 2glasses and 2 cups. There are 6 hangers in the wardrobe and all rooms have central heating as well as a separate electric heater . Our prices are not high for Stamford. We did offer a cooked breakfast at a supplement but you declined.
