Shameful is how I can summarize my experience with this hotel. I called ahead of time to inform the front desk of our late check in, when I got there for check in I waited outside on the phone for 10 minutes until someone opened the door. Upon checking in, I inquired about upgrading to a double bed and my question was ignored and I was just told NO! We did not spend much time in the hotel, as we mainly just needed to sleep there. On what was supposed to be our last night, my husband found COCKROACHES!!! I called the front, nobody answered. I called Expedia and they began to assist me with contacting the hotel regarding this issue. We eventually decided to leave and not stay the night, because if there are COCKROACHES in one room, more likely they’re in other rooms too! I dropped off the keys at the lobby and told the woman working there the situation and all she said was sorry. I asked for the manager, she said he was not there. The woman said she could not resolve anything, that the manager was the only person that did that (what kind of customer service is this?) So we left the hotel, tired and annoyed and began our drive back to Chicago. I still don’t have a resolution for a refund due to the disgusting conditions of the suite! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel, STAY AWAY if you don’t want to get COCKROACHES all over your personal belongings and in your personal space. P.S. I was also informed from a local resident that the hotel is known to have bedbugs too.
